Turning scale into leverage for exit readiness.
‘DCC Technology PLC’ was a group of 27 highly specialised, people-powered distribution technology businesses operating with strong local autonomy. While individually successful, collectively they lacked a unifying narrative that clearly articulated value – crucial to their future exit plans.
Through a rapid five-day immersion process, we determined the opportunity wasn’t in creating a centralised controlling trading brand, but in reframing the IBUs as a collective enabler of growth and connection.
Strategically, we established a clear 1 + 1 = 3 logic. Internally, this unlocked value through shared knowledge, collaboration and belonging. Externally, it strengthened reassurance and resilience for partners and future investors, while preserving local autonomy.
Creatively, we converged on the territory of ‘progress’ – enriching lives and moving society forward by harnessing the power of the group’s people and progressive technology. This informed the new name ‘Nexora’ – a moniker surfaced through employee-generated ideas and chosen to symbolise momentum.
A high-definition visual identity, representing the group’s shared energy, along with its strategic underpinnings, was then presented at a heads-of conference in Chicago, all within just five weeks of the original brief landing.
“The work is exemplary. It reflects who we are today and where we are going… capturing our energy, our ambition and our belief in the power of technology to enrich lives.” Clive Fitzharris, CEO
